When you’re American, you keep a drug locker

When I lived in France, they couldn’t believe how I wouldn’t go to the doctor.

I was used to paying for health insurance but not having enough money to use that health ‘coverage’ for care.

Most people (Americans) who work at a desk or have a locker, have similar stashes.

Almost forgot the box of plasters.

  1. Haha! I have a desk drawer of stuff, too, and my co-workers have started calling me “Doctor.” Which is funny because I really don’t take a lot of medication. It’s mostly antacids and cough drops and that kind of OTC thing. Plus Excedrin/Advil/etc., because what works for headaches doesn’t work for muscle aches, and vice versa.
