New med numbness

I was given a new drug which is supposed to a) help nerves heal, which if it does, will improve my grip/ use of hands/ arms but b) it tells the nerves to ignore pain signals.

It was designed as an anti-epileptic. Heck, if it staves off my cluster headaches, we could really be cooking with gas here, baby!

It also has me sleepy. I’m told in a few weeks that’ll be gone but as it has meant 2 nights of 7.5hrs sleep, I’m loving it!

I’ve also taken about 10 naps today, which is funny for me and I’m still tired, HAR!

I’ll get a new MRI soon but mostly I’m hoping this drug works a miracle to avoid vertebrae removal and replacement surgery.
